About J2R Energy

Pumping unit on 4V

We are an upstream oil and gas company formed in 2019 to acquire and develop existing oil and gas properties in the onshore continental US. We look for assets that can provide a superior and sustainable economic return on capital in a volatile price environment.

Our Strategy

  • Focuses on conventional, onshore properties that have been starved for resources and provide substantive upside opportunities at relatively low entry costs

  • Utilizes unconventional technologies to achieve higher recovery rates where appropriate

  • Is designed to deliver superior returns and offer multiple exit opportunities over time

  • Matches the experience and extensive expertise and depth of the team

  • Seeks assets that provide the opportunity for low-risk development success, achieving higher economies of scale, efficient LOE’s and, ultimately, valuation premiums

  • Applies state-of-the-art geoscience capabilities to lend cohesiveness to the entire strategy

Our Approach

  • Actively seek development/exploratory opportunities that can provide strong upside potential

    • Selectively procure complementary seismic/engineering data
    • Access shallow rights of deeper unconventional plays to take advantage of lower risk conventional opportunities
  • Bid-to-Win opportunities to bolt-on producing acreage near current production that meets J2R’s target criteria

  • Participate in bankruptcy processes and auctions where the assets or company represent a strategic fit with J2R’s strategy

  • Hi-grade technology by high-grading the utility of:

    • 3-D seismic proven effective
      along trend
    • Horizontal drilling to improve EUR’s and accelerate cash flow
  • Consider vendor partnerships to reduce costs, leverage capital and accelerate expertise

  • Consider contract operating opportunities that can lead to ultimate asset ownership

Our Team

  • Is made up of highly experienced industry professionals with an average industry experience in excess of 30 years

  • Has more than 10 years of experience working together
